WINGATE – Mrs. Elma Potter, 77, of Wingate, died Sunday afternoon in Hendricks County Hospital at Danville. She was a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ at Danville, Ill., and of the Wingate Extension Club, Wingate Town and Country Sewing Club and Wingate United Methodist Women. She attended Eureka Elementary School near Danville, Ill. Born Dec. 19, 1898, in Vermilion County, Ill., she was a daughter of Oscar F. and Ida Warner Hilleary. She married Clarence Potter on Nov. 12, 1931, at Oakwood, Ill. He died Aug. 25, 1973. Surviving are three sons, Marvin F. of Covington, Jerry W. of Crawfordsville and Marion H. of Danville, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Opal) Hilleary of Danville, Ill.; two brothers, Edgar Hilleary of Oakwood, Ill., and Russell O. Hilleary of Danville, Ill.; and four grandchildren. Two brothers and a grandson are deceased. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with the Rev. Tom True officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery near Danville, Ill. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
